We see charts and diagrams every day. They can contain huge amounts of information, facts and figures – but to understand what the data means you need the skills to read it. This course shows you how to find the information you need and how to create clear information displays of your own. From finding the facts to comparing the data in a bar chart, you’ll develop new skills to help you make sense of large amounts of information quickly and easily. You’ll learn how to collect data yourself and how to present it for other people to read, using tally charts, frequency tables, bar charts and pictograms. As you move through the course, mini tests let you check that you’ve understood the learning and give you the chance to practise your new data handling skills in realistic, everyday situations.
