Everyday English Skills - Writing (Level 2) PDF Print E-mail

This course will help you to plan, organise and check your writing so that you can be sure that your information and ideas are clear, properly presented and written in the language style most suited to your reader.

You’ll be shown how to work out the essential information you need to write about and how to choose the most appropriate format, style and language for the audience. You’ll learn how to organise longer texts into logical paragraphs so that your writing is easier to read and understand. You’ll explore how to match the vocabulary and tone of your writing to the audience and the purpose of the text. And you’ll learn how to check your text for errors and how to avoid using repetitive, long-winded or ambiguous words and sentences in writing.

As you move through the course, mini tests let you check that you’ve understood the learning and give you the chance to practise your new writing skills in realistic, everyday situations.
